Sometimes in life, for better or for worse, reinvention is needed. I feel like this is the right time to do just that with this newsletter.

It’ll no longer be called, or branded as ‘Career Guides Weekly’. Instead, please welcome to your inbox ‘Finance Focus’.

Finance Focus is all about simplifying major finance news, keeping you commercially aware, and helping you get ahead in your career, for free.

Each issue (Mon-Fri), for now, will dig into 1 finance news story that I find interesting and offer:

1. A summary

2. Key takeaways

3. Personal thoughts

I’m pretty sure this isn’t the final form of Finance Focus, and as time goes on I’ll try my best to make it more valuable to you, the reader.

I’ll do this by asking for your feedback, creating polls for you to vote on, and analysing which issues and topics garner more interest than others.

Potential ideas:

1. Commercial Awareness: links to the weeks latest and most interesting news stories across the world of finance. You choose which to read and explore.

2. Career Advice: Practical insights, advice, tips, interviews and explainers for career development and advancement.

Essentially, I want to create the newsletter that would have been useful for me as a student applying to finance roles, and as a professional trying to make sense of all the news going on in the industry.
